ANZAC Day Commemoration

Norfolk Island plays host to the first ANZAC Day commemoration in Australia each year. Come and join with the Norfolk Island RSL and community as they pay their respects on this national day of remembrance. The Norfolk Island RSL has a full day of activities planned. • Tuesday 23rd April – 4:00pm – 4:30pm Kapyong Day Service – Norfolk Island RSL Remembers Korea
• Tuesday 23rd April – 4:30pm – 5:30pm – Welcome nibbles & Complementary Beer/Wine at the RSL Club. (Other beverages at own cost)
• Wednesday 24th April – 4:30pm Norfolk Island Military Museum show piece. See the HMAV Bounty cannon and many more artefacts and memmorabilia from the Maori war to current service. RSL club. 2 Course alternate drop, Island style meal and entertainment.
• Thursday 25th April – 5:00am – Dawn Service at Emily Bay followed by Gunfire Breakfast (All VETS and Ex-Service Only for breakfast)
• Thursday 25th April – 10:30am – VETS and Family Reps Assemble at the Officers Bath & marches to Cenotaph for mid-morning service with special guests.
• Thursday 25th April – 12:00pm – 3:00pm – Lunch hosted by the RSL Women’s Auxiliary with special entertainment at the RSL Club. Grace will be sung at 12:30pm.
• Thursday 25th April – 3:00pm – 5:00pm – Game of 2Up
• Friday 26th April – RSL Club Raffles & live entertainment
